DIANE TETREAULT The group agrees and then asks Diane to Audit our books every year. Diane is married to another OMRA member fondly known as Woody. She calls him Ken. Diane and Woody have been members since 2000. The Harley that Woody and Diane tour around on was purchased by Woody from a person who had won it on one of the Show & Shine draws in Penticton.

"To put it short & sweet". I joined OMRA in 1998 to meet fellow bikers, contribute to the enjoyment of being out on the road, and be more visible in a positive way. I've been riding a motorcycle as far back as I can remember. Born and raised on small farm Alberta, you soon learned how to drive and use every motorized vehicle there was. When I was 13, my mom, bless her soul, helped me start my brothers Harley-Davidson Flat Head, and away I went over to my friends place, the farm about 4 miles down the road. My brother, Joe, didn't approve of that at all. As I found out later. But what a blast. Hand shift, foot cluth. My first Harley I owned was a 1942 /45 foot clutch, hand shift. There is no words to describe what fun I had on that bike. Crazy!! In 1981 I sold this bike to a friend and bought a basket case 1960 Panhead. 1 year later I put insurance on this bike and I never looked back. I, along with my friends, kept my baby on the road until 2001. My panhead needed a rebuild, funds would only allow me to either ride or rebuild so I made the hard decision and purchased, in February 2001, a 1975 shovelhead from Kamloops Harley Davidson. I guess you could say it was a birthday present to me. I still have plans on putting my panhead back on the road. One day!!! "Yes, there is no better way to see the country and to meet great people. Bar none!!" Update on my ride: Sold my Shovel-head, spring in 2007 and now I am riding a 1995 heritage soft tail. Purchased from Kane's Harley Davidson, Kelowna . "What Comfort"
ME WITH MY 1960 PANHEAD IN 1982 - WHICH I STILL HAVE!!! I was 28, only a couple of years ago. Ha! My last time I rode my pan head was in 2001. Up to that date I rode it just about every day. Hopefully, it won't be the last time.
and then I purchased this 1975 Shovelhead. Picture taken during toy run/2004-Penticton,B.C. |
