I own a DJ company and play music for weddings and hall parties. I like playing pool, darts, golf, blackjack and poker, even though I'm not very good at any of them.
I have been riding for over 30 years and have never once been pulled over, on a bike. (Knock on wood!)
I got my first Harley in the Spring of 2003 and moved from Spruce Grove, Alberta to Penticton that Fall.
I had Open Heart Surgery in April of 2004 and wasn't allowed to ride at all that summer. I've since decided that Life Is Here To Be Savored. I have ridden every chance I get since then. Everyone should just Stop! and re-examine their priorities from time to time.
Taking the day off to go for a ride or go to the beach is now at the top of my list. Give me a call if you want to come along some time.

I suppose I've always liked, been intrigued and fascinated, by motorcycles. From my first ride at age 4 on my dad's moped in Germany, (where I'm from) to my first solo ride at age 16 (again in Germany) on a friend's bike, which I quickly crashed into a brick wall; to my first husband's Harley (which I wasn't allowed to ride!) However, I never had any intention of riding my own bike as I got older, until I turned 50. Then, for some quirky reason (they don't call it mentalpause for nothing) I thought "Hey I'm not getting any younger and I want to do it all!" So, being older and wiser I enrolled in a motorcycle training course in Kelowna; got my first bike - a Yamaha Virago- and then last year got my license and upgraded to a Honda Shadow 750. I'm still a newbie by a long shot but have now ridden in two poker rides and several trips. My husband and I ride whenever we can and I'm lovin' it!
I moved to the Okanagan 5 years ago and am employed by the Ministry of Transportation as a Commercial Transport Inspector at the Kaleden Weigh Scale. My husband and I have 5 grown boys, one of which I hope will get his class 6 and ride with us soon. Moving here and leaving my old friends and family behind on the Coast was quite an adjustment, but since starting to ride, I've met many great people who share the same interests and with the weather being so favourable for a long riding season - don't want to move back again. |

I'm a semi-retired prof. Photographer, picture framer,and photo restoration artist. I've been riding for about 40 yrs. with no accidents. I currently ride a 1979 Suzuki gs750e m/c, that I purchased in 1981, and have been riding it since then. I joined O.M.R.A. in 2006, and was elected as a director in 2007 & 2008.
